China Man Co!

It has been almost 20 days since my last posting. I have joined the workforce again, hence I guess my postings will not be as regular due to 'time constraint'. Well I believe the term I used is justifiable as I am a full time working mother who has to tend to her 2 still young children in the night.

I must say it is rather tough to be a single weekday mum though not every one will agree with me (those who has experiance being a single parent tends to be more sympathetic though).

I have started work with this furniture manufacturing company owned by a local 'Datuk'. I would call this a 'china man company' mainly due to the way this company is managed. I find things a little bit messy and unsystemetic and I need to adjust to this..

Well, not everything is bad. From what I see during my short tenure (less than 2 weeks) so far, I observed that there's less politics in this china man co. as compared to my previous not so chinese co. The staff are friendlier with less (note that i said less and not non) political / selfish agenda. This observance is a preliminary one, I may discover more to confirm or dispute this observance. Need more time for fairer summation.

Other than this, my work now involves learning to use the measure tape (have to brush up my maths for the metric conversion & measurement etc.), what is a proforma invoice, how to tell the difference in wood material, what is a veneer, furniture manufacturing process, packing calculation, buyer, supplier etc. Wow! I am overwhelmed at the moment!!
