WhAt EveR tHe ReaSons

Sometimes people come into your life and you know right away that they were meant to be there....to serve some sort of purpose, teach you a lesson or help you figure out who you are or who you want to become.

Everything happens for a reason. Nothing happens by chance or by luck. Ilness, love, lost moments of true greatness and sheer stupidity all occur to test the limits of your soul.

And you know what? Recently a long lost friend from school days finally came back to my life! For some reason we parted ways years back due to reasons of our own - well, I got married then and she wanted to spread her wings to a new horizon.

So we lost touch after we parted ways. In between, I have missed her so but I have never brought myself to contact her again - for some reasons the time just wasn't right then.

And then for some reasons, just out of the blue we got back in touch again! Of course it was a pleasant surprise to hear from her again. We catch up via emails, as she lives far away now. I would love to see her again, but well, the time just isn't right yet. Nevertheless, it's great for her to fill me in on what happened in her life since we parted ways. I feel bad to learn that she went through some hardships alone in a distant place and I was never there to help her. I realized I had been such a lousy friend.

Anyway, I am trying very hard to improve my self now. Every day we learn some new lessons and I know I should learn to be a better person not only for myself but also for all the people in my life. I realize we all leave some influence in the life of the people around us and especially those close to us. I just want to ensure where possible that the influences I leave are positive ones. I know I may fall off the track some times but I will make a concious effort to get back on track and improve my self!! Gambate!!

I will learn to tell myself to make every day count! I will try to appreciate everything that I possibly can, for I may never experience it again. I will learn to hold my head up high because I, just like everyone else have every right to! And I will learn to remember that if I take my eyes off my goals, all I will see is obstacles. I thank God for your presence and though you may never know it, I do appreciate having you back! I hope this time we will not lose touch again - whatever the reason!
