The Day My God Died

It's sad but true: people are being bought, sold, and smuggled like modern - day slaves and the problem is growing. Victims are trapped in lives of misery — often beaten, starved, and forced to work as prostitutes or to take grueling jobs as migrant, domestic, restaurant, or factory workers with little or no pay.

And each year, more and more people are victimized by organized crimes. This kind of condition degrades men, women, and even children by treating them like slaves thru force, threat or deception.

Sexual exploitation is one major reason why women and children are mostly trafficked. During their bondage, these women and children stand very high risks of contracting HIV.

Knowing about human trafficking might be devastating but shedding light on the issue and knowing about the people who are willing to fight it is something worth sharing.

The Day My God Died is a feature-length documentary that presents the stories of young girls whose lives have been shattered by the child sex trade. They describe the day they were abducted from their village and sold into sexual servitude as, “The Day My God Died.”  It documents the tragedy of child sexual slavery and profiles the courageous abolitionists that need our support.
